Shantini Tharumanathan joined physiotherapy team at City Sports and Spinal in early 2019. She graduated with first class honours from The University of Queensland in 2012. Upon graduating, she worked with the Department of Education for three years, providing physiotherapy services to children with disabilities aged 0 to 17 years across the Toowoomba, Lockyer Valley and South Burnett regions.
Prior to starting at City Sports and Spinal, Shantini spent two years working at the Vanuatu Society for People with Disability (VSPD) under the AusAid funded Australian Volunteers Program. During this time, she managed VSPD’s Early Intervention program, building the team’s capacity to work with children with disabilities and their families.
Shantini is fluent in English, Malay and Bislama. When she is not at work, you’ll find Shantini reading or planning her next scuba diving adventure.
